Hello faithful fans!  The fun part about being in a band is writing and playing music, and wearing cool bracelets and stuff.  There are some less-than-fun parts, of course.  Picking a band name is really hard (more on that later).  Lugging equipment up flights of stairs is a bitch.  But really, the hardest thing about being in a band is making tough decisions as a collaborative group.  DF makes band decisions in quasi-democratic fashion, which is quasi-ridiculous for a 4-person band.  In cases of 2 vs. 2 ties, we call up D-Lake (producer/5th man/DF Team South Leader) to act as the swing vote.  Each side pleads their case, using strict adherence to Parlimentary Procedure, and hopes for a breakthrough.  Many a night have the whiskey-soaked murmers of gentlemanly debate echoed through the back alleys of East Baltimore.

One such debate involved the distribuition of our new music.  The songs we're posting here are the product of a creative spike, a few months when we were writing songs like madmen and depleting the last few traces of melanin from our skin.  It could be an album.  An awesome album with a vague mysterious title and a picture of the four of us with Naveed looking off to the side.  It would be a double-album...one half with the serious songs (like Rocks Glass) and the other half with the super-serious songs (like Love Safari).  We could print an album, and hold it in our hands and show it off to people.

But albums aren't relevant like they used to be.  I go to Soundgarden for the t-shirts and to wink at the cashier.  I don't listen to albums all the way through anymore (unless it's Kanye).  I grab the shit I like and add it to my list of bangers.  So we decided to just release our songs online, a little at a time, as we finish them.  Hopefully you'll like a few of them and add it to your list of bangers.  Who knows, maybe one day we'll wrap it up all pretty for ya...but for now please enjoy our music through the modern marvels of the computer age.  FOR FREEEEEEEE!

Until then, keep your head up and your ears open, and I'll keep secretly taking pictures of Nav looking off to the side just in case.
